Article (146) of the Internal Regulation of Shura Council sets out the  a host of oversight instruments and means used by the Council in the performance and exerciseexecuting its auditing competences of its supervisory powers. Shura Council can introduce new parliamentary tools by a proposal of its Bureau or at least ten members and the approval of the majority of its members.

1. Shura Council shall determine, at the beginning of the annual session, the schedule of the Ministerial statements to be delivered during the session and their focal points of discussion, as per a joint proposal of the Bureau and the Heads of the Standing Committees
2.  The Council of Ministers shall be informed about the same, along with specification of the components and focal points of the statement, or the sector which concerns the statement.
 
Procedures:
1. Five minutes, at most, shall be dedicated to each member for asking questions and two minutes for commentary.
2. The statement shall be distributed to the members at least two weeks before the sitting to give ample time for its perusal.
3.The questions of the members shall be specific and direct and in conformity with the nature of the work of the Minister or the Government official.
4.The Minister or the Government official can reply in writing subsequently to the questions for which they do not have enough information during the sitting.
